This Jobs Radar is a curated snapshot of life sciences and healthcare innovation roles across Cleveland and Columbus, with a focus on biotech, medtech, diagnostics, genomics, translational research, manufacturing, quality, commercialization, and ecosystem development.
It is not meant to be a comprehensive job board. Instead, The Biotech Beacon is highlighting roles that may be especially relevant to scientists, operators, commercial teams, founders, and ecosystem builders watching Ohio’s life sciences landscape.
Hiring themes this month: Beacon Jobs Radar
A few patterns stood out in this scan:
Columbus continues to show strength in gene therapy, advanced manufacturing, GMP operations, quality, and process development. Several of the most manufacturing-heavy openings were tied to the Columbus-area advanced therapies ecosystem.
Cleveland had notable activity in translational research, clinical research, bioinformatics, and startup science. The strongest Cleveland-area roles were connected to research institutions, clinical research teams, shared resources, and emerging biotech companies.
Commercial and field-based roles remain a strong pathway for scientists who want to move closer to customers, applications, or business development. Field application, technical sales, genomics sales, and program management roles can be especially relevant for people with scientific training who do not want to stay fully bench-based.
Ecosystem roles are fewer, but strategically important. These positions may not always look like traditional biotech jobs, but they help build the connective tissue around startups, talent, capital, policy, and regional growth.
